Dr. Raju Reddy is the Director and Business Head of Sigmoid Chemical Sciences Private Limited. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) and completed his postdoctoral research at Chungnam National University (CNU), Republic of Korea.

With over 14 years of experience in synthetic R&D, Dr. Reddy has a versatile background in chemistry and a strong track record of innovation and manufacturing in organic synthesis. During both his doctoral and postdoctoral tenures, he focused on the development of new chemical entities (NCEs), advanced building blocks for cancer and microbial studies, as well as novel synthetic methodologies. His research has been widely published in international peer-reviewed journals, and he also serves as a scientific reviewer for several reputed journals.

Prior to joining Sigmoid Chemical Sciences, Dr. Reddy worked as an R&D Manager in the Medicinal Chemistry departments of leading CROs. In the industrial setting, he was primarily involved in the development of advanced API intermediates for β2-adrenergic agonists, PARP inhibitors, non-small cell lung cancer, and medulloblastoma. He has developed numerous building blocks for biological studies for various international clients.

Dr. Reddy possesses deep expertise in the development of APIs, Intermediates, impurities, Advance building blocks, fine chemicals, and fluorescent dyes etc. His academic research primarily focused on the design and synthesis of azole-based heterocyclic pharmacophores, and he investigated their anticancer, antibacterial, and antifungal activities against a wide range of cancer cell lines and microbial strains. He also pioneered cost-effective synthetic methodologies for heterocyclic compounds.

Leveraging his extensive knowledge in industrial project management and method development, Dr. Reddy oversees diverse operations including contract research, custom synthesis, process development, and commercial manufacturing.
